What To Expect

Lauren & Jon wanted a really simple wedding, outdoors, with friends & family. So they've chosen to have a fairly short ceremony where they will say their vows to each other with a friend as the officiant & a picnic-style party afterwards. The vow ceremony will take place at 12:00pm in the grassy area next to Picnic Shelter #3 in Log Town Hollow of Kanawha State Forest. Following the ceremony, the wedding party & their immediate family will have a few photos taken. After that, there will be an announcement to the guests to gather & welcome the newlyweds! Then everyone will get to enjoy a lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, & a variety of pot luck items brought by the guests. Everyone is encouraged to stay as long as they like to celebrate with Lauren & Jon on this special occasion.

Attire & What To Bring

Dress is semi-casual — so something along the lines of a hippie skirt or summer/spring dress for the ladies & a simple button up shirt & khakis for the gentlemen. Don't go all out. It's a park setting so wear comfortable shoes. Bring things like:

• Camp/lawn chair (There's 6 picnic tables in the shelter, but some will be for the food.)
• Bring something to contribute to the pot luck (Please let Lauren know what you're
bringing in your RSVP, or if you can't.)

• You may bring some beer, BUT it's not really allowed, so only bring cans, a cup to drink
it out of, & make sure to throw the empty cans in the trash!
• Camera (Take lots of pics! My sister is the photographer, so she won't want to take photos
the whole time so help her out, plus she can't be everywhere at once & you're additions
will be great! I'd love for you to put them on a CD to mail to me or email them to me!)

• Frisbee, horseshoes, etc. (There's a horseshoe spot setup, but no horseshoes.)
• Bug spray / sun screen (If you think you'll need it.)
• Presents! :P
• Camping gear (If you choose to spend the night in the campground afterwards.)
• Hiking shoes & water (KSF has a bunch of trails if you want to hike later or the next day.)
• Swimwear (There's a pool in KSF if you want to go swimming later or the next day.)
